Acceptance and Processing of Petitions

Petitioning refers to the system of expression of definitive opinion or desires to affect the affairs of the city or requesting relief from damages incurred by the citizen in writing through the introduction of the Councilor. However, petitions that infringe on the judicial proceedings or laws will not be accepted.

Application/Petition Procedure

    Submission of Petition
    Petition must specify their intent and reasons, and must be introduced by a councilor

    Acceptance ·Non-Acceptable of a Petition
    Petitio-ns that infringe upon judicial proceedings or laws will not be accepted
  • 03

    Submission of Petition
    Approval for settlement of an account refers to the approval by the Council on the revenues and expenditures for a fiscal year

    Choose a course of action to be taken through deliberation and resolution at the Plenary Session
  • 05

    The issues to be dealt with by the Mayor and superintendentEducational Superintendent shall be transferred to the Mayor and Educational Superintendent by attaching the opinion on the petition

    The Mayor and Educational Superintendent shall deal with the said petition and report the results to the Council without delay
  • 07

    The Council notifies the outcome of the processing of the petition to the petitioner
Introduction by councilor is not needed for an appeal, which can be submitted in the format of a statement of resolution, request, supplication or appeal statement, and the appeal that has been received shall be referred to the Standing Committee in charge and the results of the proceedings notified to the appellant
