Environment and Welfare Committee

What is a standing committee?

A local council's committee is divided into standing committees, a regular organization and special committees, each with a limited time of existence. Standing committee keep a specified mission and these are organized all of the time. The standing committees may be organized only for a council with 13 or more members while the number of standing committees and the matters in their purview shall be defined by the ordinance in considerations of the council. "

Environment and Welfare Committee

The committee handles agendas, petitions, and appeals regarding the responsibilities of Environment and Forest Bureau, Women, Welfare and Youth Bureau, Public Health Bureau, Green Garden Bureau, Arboretum Office, Public Health and Environment Research Institute, Water Supply Headquarters, Yongyeon Water Quality Improvement Center, Onsan Water Quality Improvement Center, and Ulsan Metropolitan Women & Family Development Institute.
